HCTS (HVDC Cable Test Simulator) is a free online simulator of high-voltage tests on HVDC cables. It lets you prepare and understand a test before actually running it, seeing how the test circuit behaves as the parameters change.
You enter the cable data as they appear in the datasheet (length, capacitance, inductance, conductor and screen resistance) and the configuration of the Marx impulse generator, stage by stage. The simulator computes the waveform and checks whether times and parameters fall within the limits set by IEC 60060-1:2025.

HCTS is in beta: it is a tool for study and support, and does not replace the checks required by the standards in the laboratory.
