A bit about me
My name is Marco Moraschi and I am an electrical engineer.
My work revolves around energy and power systems, today in particular high-voltage testing of cables, but what truly fascinates me is the way ideas take shape: from intuition to design, until they become reality.
Writing, reading and gazing at the starry sky are the ways I nurture my curiosity. I believe that behind every discovery — technical or personal — there is always a story made of attempts, mistakes and small steps forward.
This space gathers notes and reflections: not absolute truths, but questions, journeys and visions. I write my articles in Italian, my native language.
If there is one thread that ties everything together, it is the conviction that simplicity and passion can truly make a difference.

- I plan and carry out type and pre-qualification tests on HVAC and HVDC cables and accessories.
- I develop and standardise test procedures to make them more repeatable and reliable.
- I work with the R&D and HSE teams to investigate test outcomes, find root causes and implement corrective actions.
- October 2023 – September 2025
Project Engineer / Project Manager
PRISMA Impianti S.p.A.
- I coordinated multidisciplinary engineering for industrial and energy plants, aligning design, suppliers and construction.
- I produced feasibility studies and cost estimates, technical specifications, diagrams and protection settings (CEI 0-16).
- I led FAT/SAT and panel testing, improving first-pass yield and reducing acceptance times.

- I supervised the electrical hardware design of automated machines and lines.
- I performed risk analyses (Performance Level) to improve safety and compliance.

- I designed MV/LV power systems for industrial plants.
- I performed short-circuit calculations and protection studies to ensure safety and compliance.
